Future Challenges
Since inception, many setbacks were handled with utmost focus and planning which were solved with total enthusiasm and dedication. We believe that challenges cannot be counted but are to be focused and solved. Although we have climbed the progress ladder consistently, the work fashions in which dairy have been operating are to be modified which is one of the biggest challenges to the Dairy as a whole.
- Improve working of the village' level Dairy Co-operative societies with the commitment of all functionaries, management committee members and all milk producer members.
- Actions to increase milk production & productivity of the cows and buffaloes; quality of milk which mainly includes Clean Milk Production & adulteration free milk; massive awareness programs and improvement of Breeding and Animal Husbandry Practices would enhance/ improve economic return out of milk for all.
- One of the major challenges will be to root out the private dairies / collection centers from the villages which are major threats to Cooperative Dairies. These private collection centers take full advantage of the poor literacy level and ignorance of farmers and the farmers pour milk to private dairies for just a few paisas more. The good quality milk that would be served by RMU and the advantages of Cooperative Dairy Societies in terms of timely & regular payment, price difference, annual bonus and more importantly the production enhancement inputs and massive awareness generation programs are all ignored by the farmers for a few more pennies.
- To give full attention on processing of milk & milk products by providing all technological capabilities and proven methodologies to meet the demand for consumer oriented products arising from the wide range of consumers and do effective marketing network in urban and rural sector.
